Alamo Hungary Rental Terms for travel between 01-Jan-2010 and 31-Dec-2012

Payment
An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard (transaction fee of 1.75% applies).

The balance will be secured directly by the supplier on arrival.

Additional Driver Policy
Additional driver fee is EUR 4.00 + tax per day, with a maximum charge of EUR 28.00 + tax per rental (7 days) - applies to all additional drivers. 
There is no maximum number of additional drivers allowed per rental.

Age Requirements
The minimum age is:
21 years for car groups EDMR, CDMR, ICMR, IDMR, IDAR, CWMR, FDMR.
25 years for car group LDAR, PDAR & PVMR.
There is no young drivers charge.

Condition of Vehicle
Vehicle must be returned, normal wear & tear expected, in the same condition as when rented. If special cleaning is required a separate charge will be made directly to the customer

Cross Border Policy
Cross border travel is allowed to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, UK, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. 
A cross border fee of EUR 20.00 + tax applies (paid locally).
Cross border into Slovenia, Croatia and Romania is on request only. 
Only car groups EDMR, CDMR and ICMR are allowed for cross border into Romania.
It is forbidden to cross the border into the following countries: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Turkey, Serbia & Montenegro (Yugoslavia), countries of the former Soviet Union and out of Europe.

Licence Requirements
A full driving licence must be held for at least one year for all cars.
An international driving permit is required if the licence is not from an EU country.

One Way Rentals
Domestic one ways are free of charge between all locations.  Minimum length of rental is one day.
International one ways are not permitted.

Out of Hours Policy
Out of hours reservations are only available at Budapest locations.  The out of hours charge is EUR 28.00 + tax. On Request.

Payment Policy
Acceptable methods of payment are: Visa, Amex, MasterCard, Diners, National Charge Cards, National Vouchers, Travellers Cheques & Eurocheques.  Cash is not accepted for the deposit or payment.
A minimum deposit of 20% of the estimated rental charges plus the insurance excess plus a tank of fuel is required.  The deposit must be paid by credit card and is held on the credit card until the car is returned.
Two credit cards are required for Luxury (LDAR) and Premium (PDAR, PVMR) cars.

Refuelling Policy
Cars must be returned with the same amount of fuel that was supplied at the beginning of the rental.  Failing to do this will result in refuelling costs. 
Generally EUR 2.00 per litre.

Roadside Assistance
In case of an accident or breakdown, the customer should call the rental location.  If the rental location is closed, then they should call the number on the emergency assistance card, which can be found in the car.  If anyone is injured in an accident or when material damages occur, the customer must call the Police.
Full details are also provided to the customer upon arrival.

Special Equipment
Infant Seat - CSI (0-12 months) - EUR 6 + tax per day with a maximum charge of EUR 40.00 + tax per rental. Replacement amount is EUR 120.00 + tax. On Freesale, but only available at Budapest locations.
Baby Seat - CSB (1-3 years) - EUR 6  + tax per day with a maximum charge of EUR 40.00 + tax per rental. Replacement amount is EUR 120.00 + tax. On Freesale, but only available at Budapest locations.
Toddler Seat - CST (4-7 years) - EUR 6 + tax per day with a maximum charge of EUR 40.00 + tax per rental. Replacement amount is EUR 120.00 + tax. On Freesale, but only available at Budapest locations.
Booster Seat - BST (up to 12 years) - EUR 6 + tax per day with a maximum charge of EUR 40.00 + tax per rental. Replacement amount is EUR 40.00 + tax. On Freesale, but only available at Budapest locations.
Snow Tyres - (see Winter Fee in surcharges) MANDATORY from 1st November to 31st March.
Ski Box - SKB - EUR 8.00 + tax per day with a maximum charge of EUR 80.00 + tax per rental.  Replacement amount is EUR 280.00 + tax.  On Request and only available at Budapest locations.
Navigation System - NVS - EUR 12.00 + tax per day with a maximum charge of EUR 120.00 + tax per rental. Replacement amount is EUR 280.00 + tax. This is a portable unit.  On Request for all locations.
Snow Chains - EUR 4  + tax per day, with a maximum charge of EUR 24.00 + tax per rental.  Replacement amount is EUR 40.00 + tax.  On request at all locations.

Ski Rack - Not Availaible

It is mandatory for children under 12 to be fitted into an appropriate child seat.  Booster seats are mandatory for children up to 150cm in height.
Baby seats (CSB) are not loaded in the system, so if required, please add to the remarks on the reservation.

Surcharges
Airport Charge - 13% + tax
Highway Toll - EUR 0.90 + tax per day (maximum charge of EUR 16.20 + tax per rental (18 days)).
Registration Fee - EUR 3.70 + tax per day.
Licenses & Fees (LAF) - EUR 2.00 + tax per day.
Winter fee (WIEV) - EUR 8.00 per day + tax, with a maximum charge of EUR 80.00 + tax per rental - MANDATORY for all rentals from November 1st until March 31st (see Snow Tyres in Special Equipment).
High Season Surcharge - EUR 18.00 + tax per rental, applicable for check outs from 1st July to 31st August.
No-Show Fee - EUR 30.00 + tax - Pay on the spot and only charged if Driver ID and Method of Payment is given at the time of booking.  The No-show fee does not apply to pre-paid bookings. Pre-paid amount is not refundable.

Insurances & Waivers:
CDW – Collision Damage Waiver
Collision damage waiver reduces the customer’s damage responsibility to the excess/deductible amount.  If CDW is applied to the rental the customer is still responsible for the mandatory excess charge in case of damage.  If CDW is declined the renter will be liable for the entire value of the damage/loss.  Daily prices exclude tax.

Third Party Liability
Third Party Cover is at least 1 million EURs

THW – Theft Waiver
Theft Waiver - reduces the client's financial responsibility for loss or theft to the vehicle to the sum of the deductible.  If THW is applied to the rental, the customer is still responsible for the Mandatory Excess Charge in case of theft OR LOSS.  If THW not applied to the rental, the customer is responsible for the entire value of the vehicle in case of theft or loss.  Daily prices exclude tax.

SCDW – Super Collision Damage Waiver
Super Collision Damage Waiver *SCDW* is optional and further reduces or eliminates entirely the customers responsibility for payment of the non-waivable charge of CDW, except write-offs & theft for which the excess is 10% based on the purchase price of the car. Covers breakage and glass damages. SCDW is only available if CDW has been purchased. Cost is per day plus VAT.

Liability

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier's rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
